Posting Rules

Our platform for advertising pet sales, stud services, adoptions, and lost and found pets aims to provide a safe, secure, and user-friendly marketplace for everyone, including breeders, rescue centres, buyers, owners, vets, and pet service providers.

We are dedicated to animal welfare and comply with the guidelines of the Irish Pet Advertising Advisory Group (IPAAG) and Government Animal Welfare standards. Violations of these guidelines will lead to removal and banning from our site or app. We reserve the right to reject advertisements and to ban, close, or suspend user accounts if we suspect irresponsible behaviour or non-compliance with our posting standards outlined below. Additionally, we reserve the right to edit ads for clarity and to report suspicious activity to relevant authorities.

Guidelines

Puppies and kittens must be at least eight weeks old before being separated from their mother. You must provide evidence of interaction between all puppies and kittens with their mother and, if possible, their father. If you advertise a litter, they must be bred by you.

All dogs must be microchipped and registered in a database:

You must post actual photos of your dog(s) or cat(s) and provide accurate details about their breed, age, and other relevant information in the correct category. All cats and dogs must be physically located in Ireland and in good health.

You must own the advertised dogs or cats, and they must be registered in your name. Provide microchip numbers for all dogs (and cats, if applicable) and have copies of the microchip certificates available.

If you are selling six (6) or more cats or dogs in a year in the Republic of Ireland, you are legally required to register with the Department of Agriculture as a Registered Seller of Pets. This ID must be included in all your ads.

Anyone with 6 or more female dogs over six months old capable of breeding in the Republic of Ireland must register under the Dog Breeding Establishment Act of 2010 with their local authority as a Dog Breeding Establishment (DBE). This license number must be included in all your ads.

If you have 3 or more breeding female dogs in Northern Ireland and meet any of the following conditions, you need to obtain a breeding license from your local council:

Once published, all ads are non-refundable.

Ads featuring dogs with cropped ears or docked tails, pregnant pets, or pets as gifts are strictly prohibited.

Individuals under the age of 18 are not allowed to post pet ads or contact advertisers through the website. If you advertise a pet, you must ensure that the buyer or adopter is at least 18 years old.
